- Fallout 4 is promising to soak up all the leisure hours of those who play it and then some, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Fallout 4 shipped error-free. In fact, there are a few quest bugs that could really put a downer on your game if you aren’t clued into how to handle. Here’s 7 quest-related bugs in Fallout 4 as well as some solutions.
- Nov 15, 2015 Corvega Assembly Plant is really huge so it will be hard to get a proper walkthrough for it. Explore it as you can. The boss of the raiders is located on the upper floors so find your way there. Be careful of the atomic cas in the assembly since they'll still.
- Taking Point (displayed as Taking Point: (Location Name)) is a Minutemen radiant quest in Fallout 4. After joining the Minutemen, this quest can be periodically obtained when talking to Preston Garvey. Preston informs the Sole Survivor of a promising site for a new settlement. He asks them to clear the settlement of enemies before building a recruitment radio beacon to attract new settlers.
I have an issue with one of the first quests in the game. The quest is 'The First Step'. I received the quest from Preston Garvey when the group arrived to Sanctuary, but the quest is pointing me to go to Greentop Nursery (it says in online guides that this quest is supposed to send me to Tenpines Bluff). When I went to Greentop Nursery, a settler there pointed me to go to Dunwich Borers, and all the enemies there are starred enemies, so obviously I wasn't supposed to be there yet. I tried going to Tenpines Bluff and talking to the settlers, but they just sent me to Super Duper Mart for their own quest. When I talked to them again after the quest finished, they let me ally with their settlement but they did not and do not say anything else after that. All attempts at talking to Preston Garvey again do not go anywhere.
I do not have any other issues with other quests in the game, just this entire questline is bugged, starting with 'The First Step', so now I can't continue with the Minutemen questline, which consists of many quests.
I went back to an old save and got the quest again to show what shows up when it auto accepts. It says 'Started _ The First Step_ Talk to the settlers at Greentop Nursery'. The fact the quest keeps repeating like this means there's something wrong with my game files and it has this quest set up like this.

I have pictures as well, but these forums are saying I can't post links. (to imgur though, not sure why)

Bethesda's massive open-world games often come with caveats, with bugs, glitches and performance hitches being the most common trade-offs. We've known for a while now that Fallout 4 has performance disparities between consoles and PC, but now users have spotted a quest bug that will crash the game across all platforms.
The bug was first reported on the Bethsoft Forums a day after the game came out, and is repeatable across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. According to the post, the glitch is quite nebulous and hard to pinpoint. The most definite reports pinpoint the Monsignor Plaza and the C.I.T. Ruins as the exterior environments that trigger the crash, along with the Hunter/Hunted questline and some bits of the Boston After Dark quest path. Reports indicate that having the Nick Valentine quest Unlikely Valentine active will trigger the crash when visiting aforementioned areas.
Users are reporting various effects including simple crashes to desktop on PC and error messages on console, and even the more extreme corrupted saved data files. PC users are able to use Fallout 4's console commands to reset the affected quests via codes, so if you're having troubles be sure to scan the forum posts.
The bug seems to be pretty huge and has afflicted many users, who are sharing stories and trying to pinpoint the exact nature of the glitch. Hopefully Bethesda will step in with an official fix soon. For now be sure to check the forums as well as this handy troubleshooting checklist to attempt a fix.
